Senior Associate - Litigation & Regulatory

DLA Piper's Litigation and Regulatory team is growing, and we're looking for a talented Senior Associate to join our Brisbane office. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with leading litigation and regulatory practitioners, including our Head of Litigation & Regulatory Australia, Liam Prescott, while collaborating with partners and senior lawyers across our Australian and global network.

You'll gain exposure to complex, high-stakes and novel disputes before superior courts and arbitral tribunals in different jurisdictions, acting for a variety of clients, including foreign and state-owned entities and ASX-listed companies, across a range of market sectors. You'll work on sophisticated, large-scale multi-partner matters, build trusted client relationships and contribute to the development of junior lawyers, all within a collaborative and high-performing team.

Main duties and responsibilities

•  Advise clients on complex and strategically important litigation and regulatory matters

•  Take ownership of key workstreams across high-stakes disputes

•  Build trusted client relationships and contribute to exceptional service delivery

•  Support the development of junior lawyers and contribute to a collaborative team culture

•  Collaborate with litigation and regulatory specialists across Australia and internationally

About you

•  5+ years' PQE gained in similar role

•  Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills

•  Excellent drafting and communication abilities

•  Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to take ownership of complex matters

•  A collaborative mindset and commitment to outstanding client service

•  An interest in mentoring and supporting the development of junior lawyers
