Paralegal

DLA Piper Seoul Office is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Paralegal or Legal Assistant (1-3+ years of relevant experience in corporate/commercial law) to support our attorneys across a broad range of cross-border and international legal matters. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading global law firm and work closely with lawyers across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

 

  • Assist attorneys with day-to-day legal and administrative work assignments
  • Conduct legal, regulatory, and business research
  • Prepare, review, and organize legal documents and transaction-related materials
  • Support the preparation of client pitches, proposals, presentations, and other business development materials in collaboration with the BD/Marketing team and attorneys
  • Handle communications with clients and external parties under attorney supervision
  • Provide translation and document review support in Korean and English
  • Manage filings, document databases, and matter-related records
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and other client-related activities as needed

 

About you

 

  • Bachelor's degree required; law school graduate preferred but not mandatory
  • Prior experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or other legal environment is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English
  • Strong research, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
